Why we love this drink?

Loved for its vital and stimulating character, which combines the playful energy of a summer afternoon with a sophisticated structure. The palate is feather-light and spirited, revealing layers of juicy red fruits balanced by a fine, perfectly integrated perlage. A bone-dry, saline finish ensures a clean and lasting impression that encourages a second glass. The wine boasts a brilliant and naturally cloudy crimson-pink hue with bright orange reflections. Due to the ancestral method of bottling during fermentation, it retains a charmingly hazy appearance that catches the light beautifully. The delicate mousse remains persistent in the glass, highlighting its youthful and unfiltered nature. In the aroma, a vibrant potpourri of pomegranate, wild strawberries, and raspberries is underscored by a touch of zesty lime. Nuances of sour cherry, rhubarb, and subtle floral blossoms add complexity to the fragrant bouquet. A faint hint of exotic spice and yeastiness rounds out the scent, creating an inviting and multi-layered olfactory profile.
History
Gerhard Pittnauer took over the family estate at age eighteen and transformed it into a pioneer of the Austrian natural wine movement. This sparkling rosé is a field blend primarily featuring Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent grapes grown in the limestone soils of Burgenland. It is crafted using the ancestral method, where fermentation finishes in the bottle without added sulfites or filtration, capturing the raw energy of the Lake Neusiedl terroir.
