Why we chose it?

Colored a clear purple-red, the ‘Alicante Nero’ grape has long since been removed from its rightful throne in favour of easier, more industrial varieties. Yet today, the team of enthusiastic young wine-makers at Ampeleia have restored this grape to his former glory to reign over his rightful land once again. The air chimes with fragrantly floral tones of violet, accompanied by a touch of black fruits. With a medium and well-balanced body, and lively tannins, this wine is comfortably itself. Elegant, captivating and red.
