Katsano 2018

Gavalas Katsano is a clear, bright lemon-yellow color with a timeless floral bouquet holding a touch of honeysuckle – that slightly sharp scent that breathes freshness. The flavor is gently mineral, and swims with fruity, citrus notes such as grapefruit and white cherry on an earthy base of white chocolate. Medium to full bodied with an oily side, this rare breed gets more and more tempting by the minute. Very well suited for those who prefer a weightier, richer white.

Five generations of wine production makes the Gavalas family winery one of the oldest in the region of Santorini. They concentrate on honoring the local and most vibrant varieties of grapes. Using modern, high tech equipment in historic stone buildings (at the traditional settlement of Megalochori) to develop high quality wines.
