The clay-rich soils of Ampeleia's "Donkey Vineyard" are producing Cabernet Franc at its finest. Perfectly balanced, with a delectable medium to full body, embracing crisp and bright fruit notes. A keen palate may pick up some earthiness too. This wine has a rather unique little touch to it: a wonderful, menthol note that stays present throughout this sensory adventure. Combine this with the ripe, granular tannins and viola! Something surprisingly different. The 2020 Magnum edition is one of just 7500 bottles produced that year.

Empatia is Ampeleia's most intimate wine, and their biggest secret. Or so it was until 2017, when they finally began sharing it with the world! Produced since 2007, the aptly named Empatia was once reserved for close friends and partners. Today the exclusive wine has made it to the wider public and we have the chance to savor an amazing Merlot full of local character. This rare treat has an elegant aroma of cassis, a rich bold flavor, lively acidity and lasting finish. The local terroir gives the Merlot a unique quality, that note of menthol so characteristic of the local terroir. Empatia is 'big like friendship' so it is only natural that such a big wine is bottled in magnums only, and just 250 bottles per vintage!

Rosato di Ampeleia is a lovely, clear rose pink, reminiscent of a comfortable autumn morning as the last of the year's sunshine makes its appearance. To make this wine, whole clusters of Alicante grapes were left in the Carignano grape must during processing. Whilst this particular rosé is light and not aggressive in its expression, it makes up for it with its focus on the juicy berry tones and acidic nature. A calm, casual rosé.

From the innovative young winemakers at Ampeleia we have this wonderful Tuscan white, co-planted with other symbiotic plants in the true, harmonic fashion that we've come to know from Ampeleia. Following a five day maceration period, this wine is aged over the course of six months in concrete tanks; preserving the fruit flavours without outside influence from other materials (such as oak). An inviting yellow-orange color is our first clue to the easy nature of this wine. On the nose, there's anorchard blossom aroma. With a swirl, the wine will release a touch of sweet honey. Richer tones of stone fruits are revealed on the palate, followed by a light citrus finish. This is a nice, easy and rather drinkable white to enjoy with almost any food you can imagine!
