This juicy Pinot Gris from Marada’s limestone vineyards spent 10 months on lees in old oak barrels to gain its lovely structure and complexity (you know, the ‘hmm… interesting’ bit). In one swirl, it blossoms into a meadow of summer herbs and flowers. Well-structured and gastronomic, pairs very well with food.
Serious yet invariably playful, this Chenin Blanc pét-nat is one of the most recent additions to the top notch Bandito range. When makng I am the Ninja, Testalonga went for a drier style to bring out the depth of the flavor, resulting in an incredibly successful sparkling that is somehow both easy-going and sophisticated. Packed with citrus and green apple, and balanced out with a nice creaminess. Expect very lively bubbles.
Malagouzia is an elegant indigenous Greek grape brought back from the point of extinction, and it heralded Greece's recent winemaking renaissance. The Chatzvaritis skin contact Malagouzia is traditionally aromatic and floral, imbued with sweet notes of Turkish delight and rose petals. A lovely lighter orange that is not overly complex.
